Pawn shop software that holds the whole loan book
Issue a loan against today's rate, print the ticket, photograph the items, take the signature on screen — then let the app carry the interest, the due dates and the reminders until the customer redeems. Every loan gets a number, and nothing lives in a register book that can be lost.
The loan is easy. It is the next eleven months that are hard
Writing a pawn loan takes two minutes. Knowing, nine months later, exactly what is owed on it — after two part payments, one top-up and a renewal — is where register books quietly fail. So is remembering which loans are close enough to the line that a notice needs to go out.
Varadhi Gold keeps the arithmetic and the calendar. Each loan gets an auto-generated number, a status that moves through Active → Overdue → Redeemed or Auctioned, and a running outstanding figure you can read at a glance. The list filters by that status, and searches by loan number or customer.
The evidence stays with the loan too: photographs of the pledged items and the customer's signature captured on the screen at the counter. When there is a dispute two years later, it is attached to the record instead of being someone's recollection.
What the module does
On the loan screen itself
- The loan amount and the live outstanding shown side by side at the top, with overdue loans visually marked.
- Print pawn ticket and view receipt, available from the moment the loan is created.
- A reminder letter on your shop letterhead for loans that are Active or Overdue — the A4 notice you send by Registered Post as a legally recognised pre-auction notice.
- Top-up history, so a loan that has been added to three times still shows one honest principal figure.
- Status tabs — All, Active, Overdue, Redeemed, Auctioned — with colour coding, so the overdue pile is visible without being searched for.
- Auction handling for loans that go the distance: initiate, send notice, settle, or cancel — each as its own recorded step.
- The police register is generated from these same loans, so the register can never disagree with the loan book.
Issuing a loan at the counter
A loan, nine months in
PWN0003 — a 10 g 22K ring pledged by a customer, principal ₹80,000. Since then: one part payment, one top-up. The loan screen shows the current principal and the live amount due side by side, the top-up history behind a tap, and the status badge sitting on Active. If it slips past the due date, the badge turns and the loan surfaces in the overdue filter and in the reminder run.
Frequently asked questions
Can I import the loans I already have on paper?
Yes — there is a loan import for exactly this. Bringing the live loan book across at the start is what stops you running the app and the register together for a year.
Does it handle part payments and renewals properly?
Yes. A payment can be recorded against a loan at any time, principal can be topped up against the same pledged items, and a loan can be renewed. Each is logged with its date and shows up in the loan's history, and the outstanding figure is recalculated rather than re-typed.
What happens when a loan goes unredeemed?
It moves to Overdue on its own. From there you can print the A4 reminder letter on your letterhead to send by Registered Post as the pre-auction notice, and if it still goes unredeemed, the auction flow takes it through notice, settlement and closure as recorded steps.
Can I see where the pledged items are stored?
Yes, that is what the locker map is for — the physical location is held against the loan, so redemption does not turn into a search.
Where is my shop's data stored?
In India. Our servers are in a Mumbai data centre. Your customer records, loan book and bills stay yours — we never share them with third parties, and you can export everything to Excel whenever you want.
Does it work on a phone, or do I need a computer?
Both. There is a desktop admin for the back office and a phone app for the counter and for the owner who wants to check the shop from home. The phone app is available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. If a cashier is part-way through entering a loan and gets interrupted, the entry is saved as a draft on the device and can be picked up again.
What if I want to stop using it?
Send one WhatsApp message. We export your full data to Excel, hand it over, and that is that. No contract, no lock-in, no retention phone calls. The no-card-required promise applies on the way out too.
