Karigar job work software: know how many grams are out, and with whom

Gold leaves the shop with a goldsmith and comes back as a finished piece weeks later. Varadhi Gold gives every job a number, records the grams issued, and shows the total gold currently with each karigar — so the question is answered by a screen, not by a memory.

The one number most shops cannot answer on the spot

Ask a jewellery shop owner how much cash is in the drawer and the answer comes instantly. Ask how many grams of gold are sitting with karigars right now, across all open jobs, and there is usually a pause, then a diary, then an estimate.

That number is often larger than the cash. Varadhi Gold keeps it live: every job order records the gold issued in grams, and the job list carries a running total of gold with karigars alongside active jobs, overdue, ready for delivery and completed this month.

Each karigar is set up once, with their making rate per gram, and from then on the list shows how much metal each of them is holding. Filtering the job book by karigar is a tap.

What the module does

Karigar master
Each goldsmith set up once with their making rate per gram, and shown with the grams they are currently holding.
Numbered job orders
Every job gets its own number, searchable by customer, job number, karigar or item.
Grams issued, tracked
The weight handed over is recorded on the job, and rolls up into the total outstanding for that karigar and for the shop.
Overdue and ready counts
Active, overdue, ready for delivery and completed this month, counted at the top of the list — with overdue called out.
Customer jobs and stock jobs
A job can be against a customer's order, or with no customer at all — a stock job, for jewellery going into your own inventory.
The design brief travels with it
Item type, purity, description and a separate design note for pattern, finish, stones and the customer's preferences.

On the job list

Issuing a job

1
Choose the customer, or don't
Attach the job to a customer's order, or leave it blank — the app treats that as a stock job for jewellery going into your own inventory.
2
Pick the karigar
The list shows each goldsmith with the grams they are already holding and their making rate per gram, so you can see who is loaded before you load them further.
3
Describe the piece
Item type, purity, a description, and a separate design note for the pattern, finish, stones and anything the customer asked for.
4
Issue the gold
Record the weight handed over. It appears immediately in that karigar's outstanding grams and in the shop-wide total.
5
Track it to delivery
The job moves through its statuses, shows up in overdue if it slips, and lands in ready-for-delivery when it comes back.

The question, answered

At the top of the job list

Open the job book and the header already reads: active jobs, gold with karigars in grams, overdue, ready for delivery, completed this month. Tap a karigar in the filter and it narrows to their jobs, with their gram holding shown against their name. No diary, no phone call to the workshop, no estimate.

A live number, not an estimate

Frequently asked questions

Can I see how much gold each karigar is holding?

Yes — that is the headline number. Each karigar shows their current gram holding, and the job list totals gold with karigars across every open job for the whole shop.

What is a stock job?

A job order with no customer attached — jewellery you are having made for your own inventory rather than against a customer's order. The app supports it directly; you just leave the customer blank.

Does it track the making rate for each karigar?

Yes, the making rate per gram is held on the karigar's record and shown when you pick them for a job, so the cost side of the job is visible at the point you assign it.

How do I know which jobs are late?

The job list counts overdue jobs at the top and marks them, and you can filter the list down to them. Ready-for-delivery is counted the same way so finished work does not sit forgotten.

Can I search the job book?

One search box covers customer, job number, karigar and item, and you can filter by karigar or by status alongside it.

Where is my shop's data stored?

In India. Our servers are in a Mumbai data centre. Your customer records, loan book and bills stay yours — we never share them with third parties, and you can export everything to Excel whenever you want.

What if I want to stop using it?

Send one WhatsApp message. We export your full data to Excel, hand it over, and that is that. No contract, no lock-in, no retention phone calls. The no-card-required promise applies on the way out too.
