Gold loan software where the follow-up happens by itself

The money you have lent is only as good as the follow-up. Varadhi Gold keeps the interest, watches the due dates, and groups every open loan into due today, due in 1–3 days, due in 4–7 days and already overdue — then sends the reminders over WhatsApp for you.

Recovery is not a collections problem, it is a memory problem

Almost no Indian shop loses money on gold loans because the gold was badly valued. It leaks because nobody rang the customer in the week the loan came due, and by the time anyone noticed, the polite call had become an awkward one.

The recovery screen turns that into something a shop can actually work through. Open loans are bucketed by how close they are to the line — Due Today, Due in 1–3 Days, Due in 4–7 Days and Overdue Loans — and the reminder for each one is one tap, or one run of the bot for the whole list.

Every reminder that goes out is logged against the loan. Six months later you can see exactly when the customer was told, which matters a great deal if the loan ends up going to auction.

What the module does

Interest that adds itself up
Interest accrues against each open loan without anyone recalculating it, so the amount due today is the amount the screen says.
Due dates in buckets
Due today, due in 1–3 days, due in 4–7 days, overdue. The list you need to work through this morning, already sorted.
Run the bot
One button refreshes the reminder list and queues the messages for the whole batch, instead of going loan by loan.
WhatsApp, not a phone call
Reminders go to the customer over WhatsApp — cheaper than calling, less confrontational, and it leaves a record.
Every reminder logged
Sent and pending states are held against the loan, so you always know who has been told and when.
The formal letter
When WhatsApp is no longer enough, print the A4 reminder on your shop letterhead and send it by Registered Post as the pre-auction notice.

How a loan behaves over its life

A morning on the recovery screen

1
Open recovery
The four buckets are already counted — due today, 1–3 days, 4–7 days, overdue. You are looking at the work, not looking for it.
2
Run the bot
One tap refreshes the list and prepares the reminders for everyone in it. Nothing is sent from a personal number.
3
Send and log
Reminders go out over WhatsApp and are marked against each loan, so the next person to open the record can see it was done.
4
Escalate only what needs it
For the few loans that stay silent, print the letterhead reminder and send it by Registered Post — the notice that stands up later.

What changes in practice

The week before due date

A loan falling due on Friday appears in Due in 4–7 Days on Monday, in Due in 1–3 Days on Wednesday, and in Due Today on Friday. The customer has had a WhatsApp reminder at each stage without anyone having to remember the date. Most loans are redeemed before they ever reach the overdue bucket — which is the entire point.

Frequently asked questions

Does the interest calculate automatically?

Yes. Interest accrues against each open loan and the outstanding amount shown on the loan screen already includes it, alongside the principal. Part payments and top-ups are folded into the same figure rather than being tracked separately on paper.

How do the reminders actually reach the customer?

Over WhatsApp, from the app rather than from a staff member's personal phone. You can send them one at a time from a loan, or run the recovery bot to prepare the whole day's batch at once.

Will I know who has already been reminded?

Yes — each reminder is logged against the loan with its state, so nobody gets chased twice and nobody gets missed. That log also matters if a loan later goes to auction and you need to show notice was given.

What about loans that are already long overdue?

They sit in the Overdue bucket, and from the loan screen you can print the A4 reminder letter on your shop letterhead for Registered Post — the legally recognised pre-auction notice — before starting the auction flow.

Where is my shop's data stored?

In India. Our servers are in a Mumbai data centre. Your customer records, loan book and bills stay yours — we never share them with third parties, and you can export everything to Excel whenever you want.

Does it work on a phone, or do I need a computer?

Both. There is a desktop admin for the back office and a phone app for the counter and for the owner who wants to check the shop from home. The phone app is available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. If a cashier is part-way through entering a loan and gets interrupted, the entry is saved as a draft on the device and can be picked up again.

What if I want to stop using it?

Send one WhatsApp message. We export your full data to Excel, hand it over, and that is that. No contract, no lock-in, no retention phone calls. The no-card-required promise applies on the way out too.
